Who makes Vice golf balls?

Vice is a golf brand based in Munich that sells direct. We found no ball plant of its own. Here is the factory on record, with dates, and what the evidence can and can't tell you.

Foremost Golf Mfg, a Taiwanese ball maker, has made Vice golf balls. US import records list Foremost as the shipper of 90 shipments of golf balls to Vice Sporting Goods, Vice's US company, with the latest arriving in October 2026. MyGolfSpy reported in 2024 that Foremost has produced every Vice urethane ball except the Vice Pro Zero, which it attributed to Feng Tay.

Vice sells the balls under its name and is the company that submits them to the USGA. Foremost is an independent contract plant, not a Vice factory, which is normal for direct-to-consumer ball brands.

01Who Vice is, and who imports its balls

Vice Golf's terms of service say the US site is operated by Vice Sporting Goods, Inc., and name Vice Sporting Goods GmbH in Munich, Germany for returns. Those legal names are what you search in import records, not "Vice Golf".

On the USGA's List of Conforming Golf Balls, a search for "Vice" on October 22, 2026 returned 42 listings. 40 of them were submitted by Vice Sporting Goods GmbH, covering the Pro, Pro Plus, Pro Air, Pro Zero and Tour lines in several colors. The other two were submitted by another company.

The USGA lists the company that submits a ball, not the plant that makes it. That is why the import records matter.

02What the US import records show

Vice's US importer appears on ImportYeti as Vice Sporting Goods, with a New York address. On October 22, 2026 its profile listed 180 sea shipments from December 2020 to October 2026.

ShipperWhereShipments to ViceWhat the records say
Foremost Golf MfgTaipei, Taiwan90"Golf balls", HS code 9506.32, on plastic pallets

The rest of Vice's suppliers in the records ship clubs, tees and bags, which we don't cover here. ImportGenius shows the same relationship continuing: Foremost shipments of golf balls to Vice Sporting Goods arrived on October 11 and October 19, 2026.

Foremost itself is a large exporter. Its ImportYeti profile lists 1,373 sea shipments to US importers between 2015 and 2026, with golf balls in most of its product descriptions. The address on its records is an office in Taipei's Neihu District; the records don't give the plant's location.

What the records don't show:

  • Which model is in which container. Descriptions say "golf balls", not Pro or Tour. So the records alone can't tell you whether every Vice model comes from Foremost.
  • What happened before December 2020. Earlier Vice shipments may have entered under another importer name we didn't find.
  • Exclusivity. Shipments prove a relationship at a date, not that Foremost is Vice's only supplier.

03What testing and the golf press say

MyGolfSpy is the main independent source on Vice's factory, from cutting and measuring balls in its Ball Lab:

  • May 2023: its Vice Pro review says the ball is manufactured by Foremost in Taiwan, with the 318-dimple cover design common to many Foremost-made balls. It found Foremost strong on size and on its cast urethane process, and less consistent on weight and on how evenly the layers sit.
  • October 2024: its "where are golf balls made" survey says the current Vice urethane balls (Pro, Pro Plus and Pro Air) are all manufactured by Foremost, as has been every Vice urethane ball except the Pro Zero, which it says came from Feng Tay.

That reporting and the import records point the same way. Two independent kinds of evidence agreeing is about as good as this gets without a statement from the brand, and Vice hasn't published one that we found.

04Vice models and what is on record for each

Vice sells several lines. The evidence isn't the same for all of them, so here it is model by model, as of October 22, 2026.

Where a cell says "not reported", we found nothing either way. The import records can't fill the gap, because they describe the cargo as golf balls without a model name.

05How to read one of these records

A bill of lading is a shipping document, not a product spec. Here is one of the October 2026 Foremost shipments to Vice Sporting Goods, as ImportGenius shows it: "84 CTNS (= 2 PLASTIC PALLETS) GOLF BALLS P.O.# XXXXXXXXX".

  • Shipper: Foremost Golf Mfg, Taipei. The company that hands the goods to the carrier. Usually the factory, sometimes a trading company or forwarder.
  • Consignee: Vice Sporting Goods, Inc. The company receiving the goods in the US.
  • 84 cartons on 2 plastic pallets: the packing, which tells you the scale of an order, not the model.
  • P.O. number: masked in public data, as purchase order numbers often are.
  • HS code 9506.32: the customs code for golf balls, shown on other shipments in the same series.

Read enough of them and patterns show up: how often a brand reorders, whether a new shipper appears, whether an old one stops. That is how factory changes in golf, such as Snell's shift to new shippers in 2022, show up in the records.

06How to judge a Vice ball

Knowing the factory helps you read a ball's lineage. It doesn't tell you which model to play.

  • Check the box for country of origin. If it doesn't say Taiwan, that model may come from another plant.
  • Match the ball to the USGA list. Each model and color has its own listing under Vice Sporting Goods GmbH.
  • Compare cover counts. Shared dimple patterns across brands often point to a shared factory. MyGolfSpy ties the Vice Pro's 318-dimple cover to Foremost.
  • Pick by construction and compression. Urethane for greenside spin, ionomer for durability and price.
  • Look for a cut test. Size, weight and concentricity vary between factories and between batches.

07How to get your own golf balls made

Vice is a clear example of a direct-to-consumer ball brand built on a contract factory: own the brand, the design brief and the customer, and buy the ball from a plant that already makes urethane balls well. If you want to do the same:

  1. Pick a construction the factory already makes. Contract plants offer their own cores, mantles and covers. Starting from a stock cover saves you a mold.
  2. Shortlist from records. Look up the importer of a brand you respect (its legal name is in its terms or privacy policy) and see who ships to it. Verify each shipper before contacting it.
  3. Get samples and test them. Weigh, measure and cut them. Ask how the factory checks compression and concentricity in production.
  4. Plan for the USGA list if your buyers play competitions.

Our golf manufacturers list shows the golf factories in The Vault, and how to find a manufacturer covers the records method. In the Product Sourcing Secrets course, The Vault gives the contacts for more than 40 golf factories.

08A note on these records

Brand to factory connections here are historical. Foremost Golf Mfg has made golf balls for Vice and shipped them to Vice Sporting Goods at the dates shown. That doesn't make it Vice's current, only or authorized supplier for every model. ProductGods is not affiliated with Vice Golf, Vice Sporting Goods or any factory named.

QQuestions

Q01Where are Vice golf balls made?

US import records show Vice's golf balls arriving from Foremost Golf Mfg in Taiwan, 90 shipments, the latest in October 2026. MyGolfSpy also reports Foremost in Taiwan for Vice's urethane balls.

Q02Is Vice a German company?

Vice's terms name Vice Sporting Goods GmbH in Munich, Germany, and the US site is run by Vice Sporting Goods, Inc. The USGA lists Vice's balls under the German company.

Q03Are all Vice balls made in the same factory?

Not necessarily. MyGolfSpy says the Vice Pro Zero came from Feng Tay, while the other urethane models come from Foremost. Import descriptions don't name models, so check the box of the ball you buy.

Q04Is Vice made by Titleist or TaylorMade?

No source we found connects a Titleist or TaylorMade plant to Vice balls. The records and the reporting point to Foremost, an independent Taiwanese factory.
